PEA PETTAL : Promouvoir un Enseignement supérieur professionnalisant ancré dans les Territoires pour accompagner la Transition agroécologique des systèmes alimentaires

Ce projet, financé par l’Agence française de Développement (AFD) dans le cadre de l’appel à projets du programme « Partenariats avec l’Enseignement supérieur africain » (PEA) à hauteur de 2,4 millions d’euros (1 586 315 808 FCFA) pour une durée de quatre (04) ans, s’inscrit dans une double logique de renforcement des capacités des établissements africains d’une part et de projection des établissements français d’autre part.

Le Projet PETTAL est porté par l’Université́ du Sine Saloum El Hadj Ibrahima NIASS (USSEIN) et l’Institut national d’Enseignement supérieur pour l’Agriculture, l’Alimentation et l’Environnement (Institut Agro) et cible le renforcement de l’offre de formation LMD de l’USSEIN, une jeune université à vocation agricole, autour de la thématique « Agroécologie et alimentation durable ».

Le comité de pilotage est composé des recteurs/DG (ou leur représentant) de USSEIN, Institut Agro, Agreenium, AgroSup Dijon, Polytech Montpellier, UIDT, UCAD, CIRAD, IRD, ISRA et ITA. Il est présidé́ alternativement par les établissements coordinateurs sénégalais et français. L’équipe projet (coordinateur et chefs de projet) participe au comité de pilotage à titre consultatif.

MRF prévoit de mettre en place 300 cercles de machines supplémentaires au Sénégal ainsi que d’autres cercles de machines au Kenya, le savoir-faire et le personnel formé sur place étant un facteur de réussite essentiel. Objectif général

L’objectif du projet est de permettre aux universités sénégalaises et kényanes de soutenir la mise en place et le développement des cercles de machines au Sénégal et au Kenya. La coopération entre les trois candidats doit permettre de réunir les compétences existantes des acteurs bavarois au Sénégal et au Kenya et de créer des effets de synergie. Le projet contribue aux Objectifs de développement durable 2 (Faim zéro), 4 (Éducation de qualité) et 8 (Travail décent et croissance économique).

Le programme de mobilité académique Intra-Afrique est le programme européen visant à encourager la mobilité académique d’étudiants, stagiaires et personnels d’université africains au sein même du continent. Il apporte une aide financière aux établissements partenaires d’enseignement supérieur (EES) en Afrique et subventionne des bourses d’études. Objectif général

Ce programme de mobilité académique Intra-Afrique a pour objectif de contribuer au développement économique, social et humain de l’Afrique en améliorant les aptitudes et compétences des individus dans différents domaines, notamment ceux liés au changement climatique et à la transition écologique.

Objectifs spécifiques

OS.1 : promouvoir les opportunités de mobilité académique, en mettant l’accent sur l’inclusion et la diversité des participants ainsi que sur le changement climatique ;

OS.2 : améliorer l’employabilité des étudiants et stagiaires de l’enseignement supérieur et développer leur esprit d’entreprise, notamment dans les emplois dits ‘verts’ ;

OS.3 : améliorer la qualité, la pertinence et la dimension internationale de l’enseignement supérieur en Afrique ainsi que la prise en compte du changement climatique.

Résultats attendus

v l’amélioration des processus de transparence internationale et de reconnaissance d’études, diplômes et qualifications entre les établissements d’enseignement supérieur participants eux-mêmes ;

v le renforcement de la capacité des établissements d’enseignement supérieur à gérer les partenariats internationaux, les flux de mobilité et les services d’orientation professionnelle ;

v l’amélioration des connaissances, compétences et aptitudes des étudiants, stagiaires et membres du personnel boursiers. Cela inclut également les femmes, les personnes handicapées ainsi que les personnes issues de milieux défavorisés ;

v l’intensification de la coopération entre les établissements d’enseignement supérieur et les entreprises ;

v l’amélioration de la qualité de l’enseignement supérieur, de la transmission de connaissances et du partage d’informations quant aux opportunités académiques au sein même du continent africain ;

Brève présentation	MASSTER project nests its intervention in the underexplored involvement of trans disciplinary approach to core developmental areas in SSA – migration and agriculture/rural development and food security. The interconnectedness of the nexus is put forth in the effort to increase capacities and relevance of local actors, and primarily HEIs, in the regional sustainable development. The intervention takes on ECDPM look into migration as key topic in international development cooperation efforts, and the relationship between food security and migration addressing the ‘root causes of migration’ in an attempt to pursuing genuine objectives for food and security (FS) and rural development that may ultimately lead to slowing migration flows.

Brève présentation

A major part of STREAMING’s concept is built around financial support to Third Parties, which will comprise i) two Open Calls for Innovations as cascade funding, and ii) co-financing participation of vulnerable groups in capacity building workshops that do not have possibility to

participate otherwise. HSWT will lead and supervise the mentioned processes and payments and has vast experience in managing open calls through its ‘Food Start-up Incubator’ programmes. The consortium commit to adhere and ensure competitive, inclusive, fair and transparent Open call processes and co-financing mechanisms for workshop participants.

The financial support to third parties should accelerate the technology transfer of sustainable innovations within the whole food supply chain to reach fair, healthy and environment friendly food systems in Africa.

Objectifs spécifiques

Within STREAMING, two major areas for the Open Calls will be addressed:

A) Innovation transfer grant for the realisation of resilient and sustainable food value chains from farm to fork based on the most relevant challenges (e. g. alternative protein sources for food and feed, food processing & packaging, sustainable aquaculture)

B) Grant for content and learning materials for a learning platform in the field of innovative technologies and nutrition ( e.g. sustainable farming systems, micronutrient deficiencies, food waste reduction)

Résultats attendus

The financial support to third parties should accelerate the technology transfer of sustainable innovations within the whole food supply chain to reach fair, healthy and environment friendly

food systems in Africa.

The Third Parties will develop concepts for matching (like hackathons), providing infrastructure for the technological field addressed, will coach the innovators or start-ups gained and will thus

contribute to the outcome of STREAMING by increasing the number of sustainable innovations brought to market entry. Additionally, they will significantly expand the field of new technologies

in the area of a sustainable food value chain for partners and incubators present within STREAMING

Projet de Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Agroécologie adapté pour l’Afrique de l’Ouest

Titre du projet / Acronyme	Projet de Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Agroécologie adapté pour l’Afrique de l’Ouest ; Project acronym: ARAA-CEDEAO/PAE/2024/AS/MOOC_AE
Brève présentation	Pour une meilleure compréhension et une bonne utilisation des techniques agroécologiques et relever le défi de la transition agroécologique, il est nécessaire de développer des outils d’enseignement-apprentissage facilitant l’innovation et l’adaptation des systèmes d’information et de partage de connaissances sur les pratiques agricoles, les systèmes et filières agro-alimentaires, les orientations de la recherche, la formation initiale et continue des acteurs des mondes agricole et rural, ainsi que le dispositif d’accompagnement des agriculteurs (le conseil agricole). Pour cela, l’utilisation des outils de renforcement de capacité les plus accessibles et les moins onéreux permettra de mieux satisfaire les acteurs. Parmi ces outils, il y’a les formations accessibles partout (en ligne), gratuites et très interactives que sont les MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). Ce projet de consortium intitulé : « MOOC Agroécologie en Afrique de l’Ouest » prend en compte les contextes régionaux, le savoir-faire local dans son application et le système alimentaire dans sa globalité. Son objectif est d’adapter les contenus des MOOC agroécologie aux référentiels spécifiques de la région, de co-créer de nouvelles études de cas adaptés et de nouveaux enseignements illustrant la transition agroécologique et de co-construire un dispositif d’animation porté par les partenaires.

Description :

Budget du projet : 529.756,25 dollars canadiens

Projet porté par l’UFR SAEPAN (Département GRPHA) dans le cadre de la convention avec le CEGEP de Shawinigan, Canada.

Le projet vise la mise en place d’une formation de deux (2) ans, axée sur la gestion des eaux, à l’attention des étudiants et des professionnels.

Les maquettes de la formation sont conçues en collaboration avec l’équipe du CEGEP et les diplômes délivrés seront également reconnus par le Canada et permettront aux récipiendaires qui le souhaitent de travailler pour ce pays.
